I Don’t Fit in a Box & That’s My Superpower
If you’ve ever felt like you didn’t fit neatly into one box — welcome home.
For a long time, I thought my ability to wear multiple hats was a flaw. I used to feel like I had to choose between being corporate or creative, polished or passionate, strategic or soulful. But over time, I realized those contrasts weren’t contradictions; they were my advantage.
I’m a corporate professional and a creative. But more than anything, I’m adaptable. Life has taught me how to read a room and adjust without losing myself in the process. I can be polished and poised in one space and roll up my sleeves in another because every experience has added another tool to my bag. And when you’ve lived a little, led a lot, and learned from both wins and wounds, you start to realize: versatility is its own kind of power.
Truthfully, I chose corporate for the steady check. But once I got there, I discovered my purpose in it. I realized I wasn’t just sent there to earn, I was sent there to shift. To be a voice, a bridge, and a mirror in spaces where culture is shaped to stand up in rooms so I could open doors for others who don’t even realize they’re leaders yet. The ones who’ve been leading quietly right where they are — with influence, compassion, and resilience that often goes unseen.
That’s what this space — The Culture Edit — is all about.
It’s for the ones who are rewriting what leadership looks like, the ones balancing ambition with authenticity. Those who understand that culture is more than metrics, it’s about people, presence, and perspective.
Each month, I’ll share reflections, real stories, and conversations that explore the intersection of leadership, lifestyle, and authenticity. Whether you’re leading a team, running a business, or simply trying to navigate your own growth. The Culture Edit will give you tools, insight, and encouragement to do it your way.
Because culture isn’t built by titles......it’s built by people.
So here’s to the multi-hyphenates, the shapeshifters, the ones who show up differently and make every room they enter a little more human. You don’t have to fit in a box because you were never meant to.
Every story, conversation, and lesson shared here comes back to one truth culture is personal. The way we work, connect, and lead is part of who we are. I hope that each edition of The Culture Edit leaves you thinking differently about what it means to create spaces at work and beyond where people can truly belong.
Until next time,
