Dress like money, BEFORE you get the money

Hey sis......I know we live in a society where it seems like the only ones that are dressing well are individuals that are wearing brands from head to toe. But, dont let that stop you from dressing well. As a mom of 4, I rarely ever get to go shopping the way I really want to but one thing I can do is look like money when I need too, within my budget.

***********The key is: stay away from what looks cheap & tacky*****************

5 Ways to Look Expensive when the coin is low

So how do you look expensive without actually being filthy rich? Create an illusion of luxury and sophistication.

Focus on quality basics: Invest in a few well-made, classic pieces that will form the foundation of your wardrobe. Look for items made from quality fabrics such as cotton, silk, or wool. Neutral colors like black, white, gray, and navy tend to exude elegance and can be easily mixed and matched.

Pay attention to fit: Tailoring is key to achieving an expensive look. Ill-fitting clothes can make even the most expensive pieces look cheap. Take the time to get your clothes properly fitted to your body, whether it's through alterations or choosing the right size. Well-fitting garments will instantly elevate your appearance.

Accessorize wisely: Accessories can make or break an outfit, so choose them carefully. Being from Buffalo NY...I love a good hoop earring (the bigger the netter)Opt for simple, minimalistic jewelry rather than chunky or gaudy pieces. Look for delicate gold or silver jewelry with clean lines. A structured handbag or a classic watch can also add a touch of sophistication to your ensemble.

Opt for timeless styles: Trends come and go, but timeless styles are always in fashion. Stick to classic silhouettes and designs that transcend trends. A well-tailored blazer, a little black dress, or a crisp white button-down shirt are all examples of timeless pieces that can instantly elevate your look.

Pay attention to grooming: Looking expensive is not just about what you wear but also how you present yourself. Invest time in personal grooming and hygiene. Invest in scents there are light and airy. Eyebrows waxed...dont forget that facial hair. Keep your hair well-styled, nails clean and manicured, and maintain good posture. These small details can make a significant difference in how you're perceived. Trust me.

Remember, looking expensive is more about how you carry yourself and the overall aesthetic you create rather than the price tag of your clothes. Confidence and attention to detail can go a long way in achieving an expensive look on a budget.
